Different Seasons
A Time for Everything – Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—
A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace.
There is an appointed time for everything. Good or bad; great or small. Action or preparation. We need to acknowledge the season we are in and embrace it. Fully live in that moment, that time. Learn what we can, gain what we need, and leave behind the rest. A time to grow and time to prune.
We live in such a fast-paced time. Always trying to accomplish and move to the next level. But do we actually stop to enjoy the things around us. Do we enjoy the people and relationships we have and savor our experiences. What are we striving for? What are our goals?
Do we take the time to enjoy the things in our lives that bring us joy.
Enjoy the time you are in. Enjoy the relationships, the experiences. Learn the lessons, make the changes.
Be present in the moment of time you find yourself. Be where your feet are.
